Menu's this week



I didn't post in Menu Plan Monday this week due to the holiday, but here is what's on the Menu at our house this week! We grilled out each of the last 3 nights. I made Strawberry Pretzel Desert Saturday night and Sugar Cream Cake yesterday. First, here's that recipe:

Sugar Cream Cake
Mix one box yellow cake mix, 2 eggs and 1 stick of softened butter. Spread in 13 x 9 pan. Next mix a 16 ounce box of powdered sugar, 1 8 ounce cream cheese (the real stuff not the soft kind, but let it warm up and be really soft--trust me: Don't use the kind in the tub!) 2 eggs. Spread this over the other layer and bake at 350 for 30 minutes or so. Edge will be dry and middle should be "set". Before baking you can sprinkle with nuts, if desired. I skip that.

Tonight:
BBQ Chicken [by request] (cooked it yesterday)
not sure what else I had planned....

Tuesday:
....Beef Teriyaki
Rice
Veggies
Fruit



Wednesday:
Italian Meat Loaves (individual size) [I'm using beef since that's what I have on hand]
Garlic mashed potoates
Coleslaw
Fruit

Thursday:
Pay day so not sure

Friday:
Pizza or bacon cheese fries

Strawberry pretzel dessert reminds me of childhood - mom used to make that. Yum!!

I have tried to make strawberry pretzel dessert and failed miserably. I can crank out some decent food, but trip up on fairly "simple" foods. Would you mind sharing your recipe and/or tips? Pretty please?

Recipe is linked--next time I make it in a 13 X 9 pan I think I'll use the box of sugar-free jello. I use brown sugar with the pretzels.
