My reading is taking a backseat right now to ramping up homeschool with P, but I am still reading. Right now I have two books going of "my own"....
I've had Antonia on my "to read" list for years. I picked it at random from that long, long of books I mean to get to "some day." So far, I'm enjoying it.
So far, this one, Better Off, is interesting. Guy with Phd from MIT leaves technology behind and moves to a "sort of" Amish community to try living old style.
P and I are listening to Farewell to Arms in the car. Tapestry of Grace which we are using for history, literature and "other" likes All Quiet On the Western Front, but I knew P HAD, just HAD to read Lord of the Nutcracker men, so I've put Farewell in to add a little more "meat". Also, I remember being stupified by boredom with All Quiet at his age.
On his own P is finish two books:
What the Corpse... has been holding his attention well. And....
Fearless Jones seems to have lost his attention, but I have asked him to just finish it!
Odd to be writing of what P is reading and not B. She isn't bothering to read. She seems to have decided that her brother never read anything for years so why should she. She does the exact number of AR points required at school and not a half point more. Very, very discouraging to me.
